TEEJ (19/08/2023)
The festival of Teej celebrates the bounty of nature, the arrival of rains and greenery surrounded by social activities, rituals and customs. It is called the Festival of Swings. Teej festival is associated with Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. On this auspicious occasion, Brain International School celebrated the Teej festival with great joy and fervour. The pre-primary wing was beautifully decorated with artefacts depicting the culture. The traditional colourful attires of the students enhanced the charm and mood of the celebration and raised it to the next level. Children looked mesmerized while dancing to the tunes of Teej folk songs.
Tiny tots of class Nursery enjoyed making lanterns and decorated them with cutouts of flowers. The best dressed-up child was titled ‘Sawan King’ and ‘Sawan Queen.’
Students of class Prep have also enhanced their creativity with kite-making activity on the occasion of the Teej festival.
Students of classes 1 and 2 created beautiful ‘jhoola’ with paper craft and decorated it with cutout of flowers and leaves.
